Be Nice to one another

My theory that discrimination leads to dissent is further strengthened by the fact that another terrorist who was arrested and who says he's had training along with Kasav, went on record to say that it was the Gujarat Riots that made them go to jihad. They felt the Indian Govt. was discriminating against and insulting the Muslim Community in India.

Whether he was right or wrong on taking the jihad path is another issue altogether. But we do know that in Gujarat the Modi Govt. played partisan ploys to segregate and target the Muslim community. The administration was specifically asked to be inactive in order to let the carnage continue. A movie made on this issue called Parzania was also banned.

Another movie that spoke of partisan politics was a poorly made movie(as could be made out from the preview) called Desh Drohi which spoke of the North Indian-Maharashtrian Divide was also banned on the pretext of it instigating violence in the state of Maharashtra. The same administration that banned the movie did not do anything when Raj Thakerey's goondas went on a rampage targeting poor taxi-drivers who were from another region and vandalizing cinema houses for screening Bhojpuri films.
Another example was from Mysore, Karnataka, where some self-styled protectors of Kannada vandalized a FM Radio Station for that one 'unpardonable' mistake of playing a Hindi song on the Rajyotsava Day.

Now tell me Sirs, if a sense of belong to this country as a whole can ever exist. If we are forever spewing venom against our brothers from another region, caste, language or religion we will be wronging one or another sect that will feel discriminated and will take extreme measures.

The problem here is that injustice is a very subjective thing.

And very hear say as well. Plus the principle that a crime commited by X can be avenged by punishing Y is totally wrong.

While it is no doubt true that rooting out terrorism involves social changes, there is a strong law-and-order element as well

Again in defense of my theory that change must come from the grass root level , I present to you the case of any country that has taken care of its law-and-order on the streets has also witnessed very low impact of terrorism. Eg; Japan,USA,Dubai, Singapore, Canada, France and China. Terrorism seems to be rampant in countries which indulge in corruption like Russia, India,Pakistan. You may ask if China is not corrupt. May be so, but the punishment for getting caught is also very harsh.
